Trumponomics & Trumpomania and a World in Disorder: The Geopolitical Felon 'On the Loose', 'At the Wheel' and the Resulting 'Chaos & Mayhem'...

After having created significant turbulence in the existing world order during his first term in office; President Trump has now effectively & completely undermined, in mere 8 months, what Joe Biden worked hard towards undoing it and restoring America's credibility & reliability among its global allies during his tenure. The global tariff war, unleashed by Trump, is the latest in a series of cascading issues & challenges which is effectively slowing down the world economy now, after the hard battles fought against and in recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, which wreaked havoc on global supply chains followed by the shock of Russia-Ukraine war and the recent, long war with inflation.

A Distant Europe & the Rise of the Genocidal Zion State

After a mere 8 months into his term and in office, European allies are already distant from the U.S. by now courtesy his pursuit of an overtly transactional & mercantilist foreign policy, placing numbers over traditional, decades-old relationships with European & NATO allies. Further, his abetting of Israel’s extreme operations in Gaza as the chief global patron and joining forces to strike Iran’s nuclear sites, has only turned Israel into almost a genocidal state, with almost half-a-million people in Gaza now on the verge of extinction from starvation. Further, Ukraine is on the verge of losing vast swathes of land in Eastern Ukraine to the original belligerent, Russia, after showing remarkable resilience and fighting valiantly for years while Trump has been busy working out the specifics of a minerals deal with Ukraine, an arms funding deal for Ukraine with its close European allies while also trying to cut a phony land deal with Putin in the name of peace while he continues to bombard & pound Ukrainian cities with his latest missiles & drones.

Nuclear Proliferation Looming Large

Nuclear proliferation is almost on the verge of witnessing a resurgence as America's nuclear umbrella over its traditional allies becomes unreliable with gaping policy holes visible clearly and the French and the British coming out in the open to fill the emerging power vacuum created by the onset of America’s slow departure from the geopolitical stage under Trump’s MAGA rhetoric, to offer their respective nuclear umbrellas & protection to the rest of Europe while also supporting Ukraine's cause with funds & military aid. Global defense spending is surging and way beyond the Cold War-era peak levels fueled by the complete breakdown of traditional, legacy & rules-based world order and security & institutional architecture further exacerbated by Trump-induced chaos & volatility and almost all Cold War-era treaties on nuclear arms control literally thrown under the bus by now

Surging Global Defense Spending and Climate & Human Agenda on the Back Burner

Trump’s protectionism, geopolitical chaos and exhorting of NATO members to increase defense spending further up to 5% of their GDP level, after his 2% mandate during his first tenure, to compensate for America’s unwillingness to guarantee European security; has only come as a windfall for the American defense industrial base and almost as a renaissance for the European too. However, his slashing of the USAID’s $4 billion in international aid spending with another $6 billion in cuts towards HIV & AIDS aid (already approved through 2028), too, in the offing, disavowment of the global climate change agenda is already impacting, and only likely to further exacerbate, human suffering & climate issues despite his global peacemaker rhetoric.

Russia-China-North Korea-Iran Revisionist Axis

Russia, under Putin, is way more assertive now after being openly admired by Trump during his interactions with him with Putin pursuing his favorite modus operandi of being nice on the face and nasty behind it effectively to counter Trump. China, too, is getting much stronger than before, as was just visible for the world to see at its latest 80th VE Day parade just days ago as well as at the recently held SCO Summit, with Russia’s major economic pivot away from Europe and towards China and forging of strategic security agreements and military equipment sourcing contracts from North Korea and Iran. The Russia-China-North Korea-Iran revisionist axis is now much more stronger and way more closely aligned than any time ever.

Ostracizing India - Squandering Decades of Rapprochement Efforts

However, the latest move in Trump’s radical and almost unfathomable geopolitical playbook is a shocking one, i.e., the ostracizing of India away from the U.S. geopolitically with the imposition of trade tariffs along with the pursuit of punitive measures over oil purchases from Russia while Trump himself is busy jockeying for the American oil giant ExxonMobil’s return to Russia’s Sakhalin-I oilfields, after a sudden exit following 2022’s Ukraine invasion by Russia, in partnership with Rosneft, of course, guided by Putin from behind the scenes.

Trump’s latest policy pivot against India effectively undermine more than two-and-a-half decades of hard work and efforts put in by American foreign policy establishment & the State Department towards rapprochement and building bridges with India with the pursuit of civil nuclear and multiple defense deals; after decades of American aloofness, frigidity & hostility over India’s nuclear tests conducted in 1974 and 1998; intended at using India as a strategic counter to China’s rise in Asia. Trump’s latest actions, however, are only going to send India back to and further deeper into the Russian orbit with India-Russia defense ties already warming up again; as indicated by the latest series of developments over Russia’s export push & deal for the 5th generation Su-57 Felon to India, which is much more closer to selection by India now, unlike the American F-35; and also by the public and widely publicized interactions between Putin, Modi and Xi at the latest SCO meet held in China.

The Long Road Ahead...

Trump’s radical, misguided & misaligned playbook; which is far away from the traditional bitter truths & current geopolitical realities; however, is only going to result in just two possible outcomes going forward, accelerate America’s isolationism geopolitically further away from its traditional global allies and facilitate the rise of China, economically, militarily and geopolitically.

However, what else could the world have expected from a ‘Felon’, on the loose on geopolitical expressways in the world’s most powerful vehicle and holding firm at the wheel; except, anarchy, chaos, uncertainty, disorder and mayhem...The blame and the questions over the same, however, are pointed & directed largely at the American voters and their sense of judgement of the political & leadership acumen of their choice of the leader to serve them as the 47th President of the world's oldest democracy while the world eagerly looks towards and awaits the advent of 2028, the next U.S. Presidential Election for a much sought after course correction...
