"The One-Way Road to Annihilation for Mankind"
The UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, warned the world on February 24 about the rapidly escalating risk of nuclear conflict as global security arrangements unravel and military spending soars while urging & exhorting governments across the world to push for complete nuclear disarmament.

The U.N. Secretary General, António Guterres, sounded a maor alarm over the rapidly rising and escalating risk of a nuclear conflict amid a rapidly deteriorating world order with growing mistrust between nations and strongmen & deal-making taking precedence over rules, laws and institutions in the geopolitical sphere.
He said while speaking at the Conference on Global Disarmament in Geneva day before yesterday, “Others are expanding their inventories of nuclear weapons and materials. Some continue to rattle the nuclear sabre as a means of coercion. We see signs of new arms races including in outer space and the weaponization of Artificial Intelligence is moving forward at an alarming pace."
He further added, "Humanity is counting on us to get this right. Let us keep working to deliver the safe, secure and peaceful world that every person needs and deserves, The nuclear option is not an option at all, It is a one-way road to annihilation."
